This morning, Papa and I were going back and forth about cleaning Bear’s ears. I said to Papa, “you’re gonna need to use a little oil…” when Goodle interjected “Oil From the Beach?!?”.
Papa and I just looked at each other and froze, mouths and eyes wide open.
I finally ran my fingers through Goodles hair, smiled at him and reassured “No, baby, not from the beach.”
Did I mention he’s not yet 4 years old?
Papa and I just continued to look at each other, bewildered, hearts sinking.
Papa finally said, “Well, at least we know our kids are aware of what’s going on in their world, right?”
Yeah. Right. Now what?

It’s amazing how much they know. I love when my boys surprise me with the things they say.

I agree! I try to make a conscious effort not to underestimate them, but they never cease to amaze me.
How sad is it that he has to know about anything like this? It would be nice if the government helped everyone pay for solar energy, so we don’t have to rely on this oil anymore. I’m looking forward to seeing you in September!!!
