Be resourceful – utilize the library, freecycle, craigslist, garage sales, thrift stores, second hand book stores, book exchanges, etc. Doing so embraces Sofia’s Ideas on Simplicity, Frugality, and Frivolity… all with an Eco-Mentality.

We just involve the kids in everything we’re doing. They help with the recycling and love to help turn the compost. They’re out planting/weeding/harvesting in the garden and turning off needless lights in the house.
When we move, we’re hoping to move closer to places with more eco-friendly entertainment (like shaded parks, etc). That would be so nice!

These are great articles; thanks for sharing!! M is very aware of the environment and does his best to be green but using articles, stories and movies to reinforce the point in a fun way, rather than lecturing, is part of the process of keeping it that way.
