Simplicity on Valentine’s Day

February 11, 2010

I wanted to share some inspiring posts having to do with celebrating Valentine’s day (and everyday) with simplicity & frugality in mind…

  • Simple Mom had this post all about creating a meaningful Valentine’s Day with your loved ones.  Its easy to get sucked in, but this post reminded me that its not about cards & candy & grand gestures…
  • Simple Kids had this post about simple ways to show your children affection.  It reminded me of ways (I had forgotten?) to be the mindful mother I aspire to be.  I love this so much its going right into my journal!

And here are a few Valentine’s Day crafts you can make with a little simplicity, frugality, frivolity, and an eco-mentality

  • Crayon Hearts are a great way to repurpose all those broken crayon stubs you find everywhere.
  • 3D Cards are a fun way to recycle all sorts of paper items from around the house.
  • Plantable Cards are my absolute favorite!  Check it out, you’ll see why!

By being resourceful & creative, I plan to practice some Simplicity on Valentine’s Day.
